The right candidate will be a seasoned professional who will work with family’s cherished current part time help to see that the needs of the family in this new, substantially bigger property are met. Current housekeeper will be retained and take on the laundress and special fringe projects role two days a week and assist as needed with entertaining and other projects. This new core candidate should be a hands-on Housekeeper with the intelligence and drive of a Housemanager. Must be "hands on". During the school year, but for holidays and school breaks, the home is primarily occupied by the two heads of the household (as the three children are all away at college). Both work outside of the home. During the summer when the children are home, the job will obviously entail a lot more straightening, laundry and daily graces. In the months when the children are away at college there will be entertaining at the home (dining room seats 30 comfortably and bigger organizing projects should be scheduled in) Housekeeper should be happy to cook and leave meals for the family as well as pitch in with shopping and errands. Keeping the home stocked will be a normal part of her routine. All large parties will be staffed with caterers, but housekeeper should be willing to assist as needed with the added duties, and be flexible to be on site should extra help be needed on occasional weekends.
